There are several people in our Mako Consultants office who enthusiastically follow college hoops action. We decided to get on board with this passion by hosting our own March Madness competition. Jeremiah, our Director of Operations, explains how this contest worked and what it took for associates to go to our firm’s version of the Big Dance.

“Throughout March, Mako Consultants associates competed for a chance to win tickets to the NCAA March Madness Basketball Tournament,” explained Jeremiah. “We organized the competition so that they played against representatives from other offices around the nation.”

As Jeremiah noted, this contest was effective on numerous fronts. “Since it was an all-office competition, everyone had to work together to qualify,” he explained. “This brought out the best in teamwork and collaboration from our people. We also enjoyed the spirit of competition as we sought to be in the finals. It was a win for team morale in so many ways.”

The competition itself was based on Mako Consultants’ sales goals. “Everyone had to raise the bar on their personal best to net the level of results we needed to stay in March Madness and advance to the next bracket. We went out of our way to surpass our targets.”
